FOOTYCUP AUSSIE RULES

SET UP
Each game includes 2 balls, 2 kickers, 2 fullbacks, 2 goals and one roll out pitch.
Ask a grown up to help you pushing the goal posts into the base plate, maybe with the help of using a small hammer.
Because the posts are a tight fit, be very gentle.
We recommend not to take them out once they are assembled. The dowels might break trying to get them out.

RULES
The FOOTYCUP ball has two colours. Each player selects one colour.
The colour most seen from above determines whos turn it is.
The ball has to be fairly new with sharp corners to perform some of the special shots.

LENGTH OF GAME
A game lasts 4x3 minutes. However, the length of game can be individually agreed on. Sides, bounce off and ball colour are changed at quarter time.
You can stop the time for writing the score down, picking up the ball or when time gets wasted on purpose.

PLAY
Each team consists of a kicker and a fullback. The ball is moved by pressing the button above the kickers head. The ball may not be pushed.
The fullback can parry any ball. Only they can push the ball and turn it to their own colour.

BOUNCE OFF
The ball must leave the kick-off circle at the start of the game and after a goal has been scored against you. If not, the other team gets a free-kick.

The kicker must be positioned a minimum of 2 kicker length (15cm) from the ball at all time.
The fullback operating box is not allowed crossing the goal line on to the pitch.
Press only one button at the time of the fullback to dive left or right.

GOALS/BEHINDS
The entire ball must cross the goal line.
Everytime the ball hits a post, get deflected of a kicker or full back against a post or passes between the outside posts it is a behind awarded with 1 point.
If the ball gets kicked straight through the centre posts it is a goal awarded with 6 points.
To avoid disagreement if someone has scored, it might be easier if you only count the balls going between and not above the goalposts.
Otherwise have a another person joining in as a referee.

GOAL-KICK
If the attacking team scores a behind, it comes to a goal-kick.
The goal-kick has to leave the 50m area, otherwise the attacking team is awarded a free-kick where the ball stopped.
You can not score from a goal kick, unless the ball get deflected by the kicker or fullback of the opposing team.

KICK-IN
The opposing team of who touched the ball last when it crossed the sideline kicks the ball into play from where it left the field.
You can not score unless it gets deflected from the opposing kicker or fullback.

50m FREE-KICK
At all free-kicks the kicker can place the ball anywhere on the 50m line and the defender has to be positioned a minimum of 3 kicker length away from the ball.

touched by the arm or hand while dragging the defender to a new location;
